How could I resist?! October is such a great time for crafts and how can I not crochet something with the shape of a Cucurbita pepo? Pumpkin vine crafts are the best!Pumpkins + Crocheting = Cute!

Crocheting Pumpkin Coasters

For theseCrocheting Pumpkin Coasters I used the exact same pattern as my Watermelon Coaster from this past summertime, but I don't change colors and I added a midget stalk.

Stitches used:

chain stitch (ch), double crochet (dc), half equivocal crochet (hdc), mateless crochet (sc), slip run up (sl)

Cucurbita pepo Pattern:

1. Strand stitch 4 with orangeness yarn.
2. Gaffe stitch rearmost through and through the first chain stitch to create a rophy.
3. Chain stitch 3. This will act as your first double hook therein round.
4. Double crochet 11 more stitches in the center of the circle you successful in step 2. 12 total.
5. Continue with your orange yarn and chain sew 3 again. This will act as your first equivocal crochet (dc) in this round.
6. Double stitch into the same run up, and then at that place are now 2 in the same space.
7. Continue to double crochet 2 stitches into each of the remaining holes from the previous round. 24 whole.
8. Slew stitch through the top of the first chain of 3 to form the sec circle round.
